Page 1 of 2 capriccio3 music sequencer gives you complete control of the musical performance during playback. capriccio is a MIDI sequencer that can also record and manipulate sound files in the WAV format. It can be linked to capella so that you can have the ease of use of capella for note entry and score printing, with the flexibilty of capriccio for creating any dynamic effects required in playback.
With capriccio 3.0 you can...
modify capella scores to get any desired playback effect: crescendo. accelerando, swing, reverberation etc. work on up to 128 tracks like a professional arranger. Mix, transpose and manipulate MIDI down to individual notes and include any number of audio tracks up to the 128 track maximum (most PCs will struggle with more than a few). create sound tracks to accompany multimedia presentions. The sequencer output can be synchronized to a time stripe that you record on audio and video tapes. move notes towards or away from the beat by a specified proportion of the beat. Do this through the Quantize option. Played in notes can be moved to a position exactly on the pulse, or moved by a percentage figure closer to the pulse. The original "played in" feel can be retained but adjusted by the amount you feel to be most effective. print your scores at publication quality through capella enter music through a traditional notation package (capella) and work on traditional printed scores before editing the playback side in capriccio export the score as a MIDI format 1 or 0 file. These MIDI files can be played back in other software such as the Media Player that comes with Windows or with other presentation software packages.
