People who use capella music software say...Miles Golding, professional musician says I have been a free-lance professional violinist in London for many years, and have a handful of private pupils. My interest in acquiring music-writing software arose primarily from the need to prepare and produce scores and parts for musical productions at my sons' Primary School in about 1996. I chose capella because I was impressed immediately by its value for money, the desire of the author to produce a good product at an affordable price, and capella's wide range of functions. I haven't changed my view, and admire the author's policy of continual improvement. In the intervening ten years it has matured into a very sophisticated product which I often recommend to friends and colleagues. I use it now mainly for my own arrangements and compositions, from simple duets, trios and technical exercises for my violin pupils to full symphonic-sized scores for concerts involving local young musicians. The Graphic Export and Midi Import/Export functions have been very useful. In 2001 I used capella to prepare parts for two arias in the English Concert's production and recording of "Tamerlano" for the Handel Festival in Halle; it fulfilled the requirements perfectly. capella has a sophisticated interface that is logical, intuitive and, with the expected amount of learning and familiarisation, easy to use. The UK customer support has always been of high quality - well-informed, polite, friendly and fast.
