PDF software

The best way to publish documents is in the PDF format. Whatever source program you use if you convert the document to PDF format it can be read by anyone using the free and widely available acrobat reader or another equivalent. Most PC users already have this software on their PC and most smart phones can read PDFs.

PDFs will always appear correctly when viewed on any PC, which is not the case when an original file is opened. The version of the source software may be different, margins may be different, fonts may not be the same, graphics might not have been embedded in the document (sometimes software creates a link to the graphic rather than embedding it, resulting in the graphic being unavailable unless specifically copied with the document).

PDFs are often smaller than the original document and the software below can automatically attach the PDF to an email without the need to save it and retrieve it to attach to the email.

pdfFactory is a quick and easy way to convert any document into the universally readable PDF format.
